GEO Events – GIS in the Rockies #GISITR

Fall is in the air and with that the fall conference season is well under way. Quickly upon us this week is the annual GIS in the Rockies event, a popular tech education and networking event in the heart of “GIS Alley” along the Colorado Front Range. We’re pleased to have one of our own team members taking this fine event.

GEO Events – GIS in the Rockies

GIS in the Rockies is the premier GIS/GEO event in the popular GIS hotbed area near Denver, Colorado. Definitely one for your future bookmarks if you’ve never been, GIS in the Rockies spans a couple of days, taking place in the middle of what many feel is the heart of GEO technology in the country. We’re looking forward to meting and making connections with professionals who are important to our community, as well as important potential clients and users of our software solutions. Year after year, the event draws a couple of thousand professionals from local , state, and federal government, utilities, environmental services, facilities, and educational institutions. All being important clients and users of our ArcGIS support and development services as well as our popular Admin Tools and Mapfolio applications for ArcGIS. Indeed it will be great to meet up with some of the mile high GEOGeeks and also see what the exhibiting companies are showing off!

Of particular interest, some fine sessions and presentations are planned during the week including a talk by developer, Matt Sheehan, and a keynote from the popular Brian Timoney, a staple in Colorado GeoTech circles. Educational talks will touch on such topics as field data collection,  UAV technology, ArcGIS online management, GIS in emergency response, Datums, Javascript coding tips and much more – looks like a great lineup!

We look forward to meeting up and connecting! If you’d like to reach out and touch base, please do nudge us on Twitter at @GEOjobegis or hit up @gletham directly. Hopefully he can also hook you up with a geeky, yet cool, MapThis! sticker for your laptop while at the show ;0)
