Esri Young Professionals at ESRIUC – Transforming Technology in Your Org

Are you attending the ESRIUC this year and still filling in your online agenda planner? If so we’d like to share details of an interesting event / panel discussion taking place on Wednesday afternoon during the conference. Once again, the Esri YPN (young professionals network) has organized a group of professionals to tackle a discussion in the form of a lively panel. The topic of this year’s panel is “Transforming Technology in your Organization”. We’re pleased that our own VP of Software Development, David Hansen, will be a panel participant.

YPN panel at 2016 ESRIUC (Above) – at the 2016 ESRIUC the YPN panel topic was “Branding yourself in GIS” and brought together several seasoned professionals to discuss and share their thoughts and vision of the industry. Participants were experienced professionals, eager to share their knowledge, passion, and ideas.

Last year the panel was comprised of a group of Esri executives and Esri Business Partners, including our own David Hansen (third from left). David is a passionate GIS professional and has been a vocal proponent of the YPN and various GIS Educational platforms and opportunities, including Esri’s ConnectEd. David leads the software development efforts at GEO Jobe and has been instrumental in the development of  our Admin Tools for ArcGIS Online, Mapfolio, MapLapse and other technologies. He leads the efforts of the software development research facility in Biloxi, Mississippi. He’s always eager to discuss the latest in GIS technologies, ArcGIS, developer issues, Geotech in education, the ArcGIS Marketplace and partner to partner opportunities. If you really want to get him excited just give him a RedBull and start talking about Machine Learning!

From David… “It is always a pleasure to work with the Esri Young Professional Network (YPN). The YPN represents an amazing movement that has an eye on the future by providing support and positive growth options for the young professionals of today. The existence of such a movement is vital to the longevity and overall health of the geospatial industry as a whole.”  David Hansen V.P of Software Development at GEO Jobe GIS Consulting
