GIS in the Rockies is the Rocky Mountain West’s premier geospatial information and technology conference. The conference offers opportunities for industry professionals to learn more about geospatial technology issues and business-centric strategies, supporting every vertical market touched by the geospatial industry.
GIS in the Rockies is split between two days, Tuesday September 17th and 18th and will be held at The Hilton Denver Inverness located in the Denver Tech Center just 15 miles south of downtown. After registration, participants can look forward to the opening plenary with Mike Cooperstein in the Alpine Ballroom. Make sure to check the Presentation sessions following the plenary. In between sessions, be sure to look over the posters. They will be up all conference long, but you can vote for your favorite from 10 AM to 5 PM.

Day number two starts with lunch and leads right into this year’s keynote speaker, our very own COO, David Hansen. David will be speaking about his thoughts on Professional Adaptation to Change in Geospatial Technology, with a Q&A to follow. The rest of the day is dedicated to career development and more presentation sessions before ending with The Laser Technology, Inc. Reception, where the poster winners will be announced.
If you don’t get your fill of the Rockies during the conference, GIS in the Rockies is excited to offer post-conference tours on Thursday, September 19th. The collection of tours varies in content. Some will specifically relate to GIS, while others will focus on the simple pleasures provided by thennatural, creative resources of the world.
