The MAP THIS! initiative is an innovative program designed to empower geographers from all industries to effectively communicate the power of their work to a broader audience. As David Hansen, CEO of GEO Jobe, aptly states, "GIS is an influential, yet not well-known field." This initiative directly addresses that challenge.
Our primary goal with MAP THIS! is to champion the continued inclusion of geography in K-12 education, ensuring that future generations understand and appreciate the significant impact of geospatial technology on our world.
We achieve this by actively participating in local events at the children's museum and sponsoring programs at local K-12 schools, making geography accessible and exciting for students. This fosters a deeper understanding of its relevance across every industry and aspect of our lives.
