The Plenary: GIS—Integrating Everything, Everywhere

The UC Plenary kicks off the Esri User Conference, and this year’s theme is GIS—Integrating Everything, Everywhere.

Jack Dangermond will open with his keynote presentation exploring the use of GIS and address how geospatial technology is uniting the globe. 

Throughout the first morning session, Jack will share impactful stories from Esri’s global user community, showcasing ways the geographic approach can reveal patterns, solve problems, and enhance collaboration.

Later, attendees will hear from Keynote Speaker Dr. Kirk Johnson, Sant Director for the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History. Through his work at the home of the largest natural history collection in the world, Dr. Johnson will examine our planet’s incredible journey, the vital role of museums in scientific understanding, and their connection to GIS.

Special guests at this year’s Plenary Session will include San Francisco International Airport, CVS Health, CAL FIRE and others.

South Central Arc User Group (SCAUG) Social – Tuesday, July 15th | 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM (PDT) | San Diego Convention Center, Room 28C & Plaza Terrace (Upper Level): Enjoy refreshments and bump shoulders with other SCAUG members and ArcGIS users. SCAUG is a not for profit organization dedicated to benefit users of Esri’s geographic information software. Register here.

Esri 5K Fun Run/Walk – Wednesday, July 16th | 6:30 AM–8:30 AM | Start/Finish line: Hilton San Diego Bayfront—Embarcadero Boardwalk: Join fellow attendees along the scenic San Diego waterfront. Regardless of your pace, you can pound the pavement with the Esri user community by your side. Participants aged 18 years and over are welcome to join.
