As we steamroll through March and towards Easter, our Esri DevSummit “hangover” is subsiding a bit and we’ve come down a little from another awesome event – DevSummit, along with EPC, is one of the highlights of our year! We’ve had a bit of time to re-goup and digest some of the materials we took away from Palm Springs, now hoping to integrate much of what we learned into our products and services.
DevSummit has been a fabulous event for the team here at Geo Jobe over the years. Once a year, some of the Dev crew here makes the pilgrimage to Palm Springs, we gather together in a shared house for the week, learn, network, and team build. For the company, the event is important as it enables us to connect with our Esri colleagues at the co-located Esri Partner Conference (EPC), typically the days preceding DevSummit. We had several team members in Palm Springs and they managed to get together a few times including the last day when they took a walk through the hall and shared their summary remarks about the event. What did you take away from DevSummit this year?
Really though, DevSummit didn’t end in Palm Springs, it was just the start. This week the annual FedGIS event has been taking place in snowy D.C and post FedGIS the Esri Dev crew is hosting DevSummit D.C – another opportunity to hear from the developers and dev leads from Redlands. If you haven’t already done so, be sure to browse the #DevSummit hashtag for some great updates and browse more Esri related events HERE.
