Fall is a busy time of year for GEO Jobe, with multiple conferences and networking events taking place—all opportunities to connect with our peers and clients. This year, members of our team will be participating in multiple events – some familiar and some new – geared towards geospatial professionals and associated industries.

Pathways to Resilience Summit at MSU: Oct. 8th

GEO Jobe is delighted to be a part of the inaugural Pathways To Resilience Summit on Tuesday, Oct. 8, at Mississippi State University in Starkville, Miss. This free summit, the first of its kind in the state, will explore how multi-sectoral partnerships and innovations in geospatial technologies can make Mississippi more economically, environmentally and technologically resilient to changing environmental conditions. 

The theme of the event is “Mississippi’s Gateway to Innovation through Geospatial Strategies.” GEO Jobe is a sponsor of the event.

Mississippi Geospatial Conference: Oct. 10th-11th

Every year, GEO Jobe is proud to be a Diamond Sponsor of the Annual Mississippi Geospatial Conference, the single largest gathering of geospatial professionals in the Magnolia State. The conference is organized by the Mississippi Association for Spatial Technologies (MAST). 

This year, the event will be held Thursday, Oct. 10th–Friday, Oct. 11th at The University of Southern Mississippi campus in Long Beach. Attendees will hear from an array of speakers representing organizations across the geospatial spectrum and beyond, including Esri, USM, MSU, and GEO Jobe.

MAGIC Geospatial Conference: Nov. 21st-22nd

On Nov. 21st-22nd, GEO Jobe’s CEO David Hansen and Chief Innovation Officer Michael Roberson will serve as keynote speakers at the 23rd Annual MAGIC Geospatial Conference & Training in Memphis, Tenn. The event is organized by the Memphis Area Geographic Information Council.

The keynote presentation will be, “The Future of Data Visualization – Spatial Laws Applied to Non-Geographic Phenomena.”

The MAGIC Conference is an opportunity for GIS professionals in the Mid-South to engage with one another and capitalize on the vast knowledge-sharing potential that this event has offered for more than two decades.
