25 Years of GEO Jobe: Mapping a Legacy of Innovation & Community

This year marked a significant milestone for GEO Jobe as we celebrated our 25th year in business. Over the past two and half decades, the company has experienced considerable growth since its humble beginnings. In this video, we explore intimate conversations with some of our leaders about how far GEO Jobe has come and our hope for the future.

Per tradition, we are taking a moment to reflect on all the pivotal happenings and changes our company has experienced in 2024.

This year’s highlights include:

  • Launching our latest ArcGIS® application
  • Announcing new business partnerships
  • Previewing an exciting new 3D tool at Esri’s User Conference
  • Sponsoring, exhibiting, and presenting at various conferences across the U.S.
  • Celebrating GIS Day and other community events

Launching the Latest Tools for ArcGIS

At the top of 2024, GEO Jobe launched its latest addition to the ABCs of GIS—Scheduler for ArcGIS. Designed with efficiency in mind, Scheduler empowers users to automate and streamline the often time-consuming tasks involved in managing an ArcGIS Organization. By integrating multiple tools and workflows, Scheduler offers unparalleled flexibility, enabling users to manage geospatial content with more options and ease than ever before.

One of Scheduler’s standout features is its ability to create dynamic, responsive tasks. This added layer of control is made possible through webhooks, which allow for greater customization and automation within your ArcGIS Organization. A Universe of ArcGIS Content Unveiled

At the 2024 Esri User Conference, GEO Jobe introduced the cutting-edge Virtual Reality 3D Knowledge Graph, a game-changer in geospatial visualization. This innovative tool elevates how you interact with your ArcGIS Organization by providing a dynamic, three-dimensional view of the relationships between your apps and dependencies. Acting as a 3D dependency viewer, the Knowledge Graph lets you rotate, zoom, and explore the complex web of connections within your system in an intuitive and visually compelling way.

In addition to helping you understand these relationships, the tool highlights “space junk”—isolated or unused items that aren’t connected to other nodes. This feature makes it easier to identify which elements are actively in use and which may add unnecessary clutter to your system, giving you more precise insights into how your ArcGIS Organization functions.

Elevating the User Experience

You spoke, and we listened. Among the changes to our suite of ArcGIS solutions was a plethora of new features, improved functions, and bug fixes. These advancements came courtesy of feedback from users, and now everyone benefits.

The following are updates released in 2024:

Embracing an Era of Partnerships

A notable initiative of GEO Jobe in 2024 was building partnerships with other organizations within the Esri Partner Network. This led to two new partnerships, as well as a fresh reseller agreement with another longtime partner.

In June, GEO Jobe announced a partnership with Baron Weather, a weather technology company based in Huntsville, Alabama. The collaboration emerged through mutual membership in the EPN, and both organizations’ desire to increase access to geospatial and weather-related resources, data, and technologies customers might not otherwise have.

Then, in July, a partnership was announced with AerialSphere, the premier provider of Oriented Imagery software based in Phoenix, Arizona. Akin to the union with Baron, the intent was to take customer service to new heights by expanding the tools, resources, and solutions available to our clients, specifically AerialSphere’s innovative XPGEO Studio application.

Shortly thereafter, at the Esri User Conference, GEO Jobe took its partnership with con terra to the next level, as the Germany-based company signed an agreement to become an official reseller of GEO Jobe solutions in Europe.

Meanwhile, as the official North American reseller for con terra, GEO Jobe offers its product security.manager NEXT to our customers. security.manager extends the security model of ArcGIS, allowing administrators to define permissions at the service level and authorize content at the layer, feature, and even spatial levels!

Conferences and Connections

Leaders and team members of GEO Jobe spent a great deal of the year connecting with customers and peers at GIS conferences. Here are all the conferences we were involved in.

In the Community, For the Community

A core theme at GEO Jobe is community—both within our organization and beyond. We are proud to be able to give back through charitable donations and community partnerships. We were able to continue that tradition in 2024.

The following are various charitable organizations and events GEO Jobe contributed to throughout the year:

  • Mississippi State University – MSU Foundation
  • West Elementary Quest
  • Bayou View Middle School – BVMS Robotics
  • Pass Pirates Baseball Booster Club
  • Lynn Meadows Discovery Center – Boogie Nights
  • Gulfport High School – Team Fusion Robotics Booster Club
  • Mississippi Heroes – Gulf Coast Beer and Bacon Fest
  • OGYA Sports
  • Faery Court Ball

Celebrating GIS Day with Lynn Meadows Discovery Center

In 2023, a GEO Jobe’s Deputy Director of GIS Services, Randee Miller, hosted an educational GIS Day presentation at Cornerstone Christian Academy, where her child attends. That effort inspired company leaders to sanction a public company-wide event in collaboration with one of our community partners.

As a result, GEO Jobe and Lynn Meadows Discovery Center in Gulfport, MS, held a hands-on, interactive learning experience for kids and families on Nov. 16th in observance of GIS Day. This event was also a perfect opportunity for our new company mascot, Neill Globe, to make his debut appearance;, and as you might imagine, he was well-received by the children in attendance.
