2023 Esri User Conference – What Not to Miss!

The Esri User Conference (UC) is an annual event, and this year it will be held July 10th-14th at the San Diego Convention Center with several pre-conference events on July 8th and 9th. The conference will bring together members of the Esri User Community from across the globe. It is a great opportunity to stay up to date on new technology, learn what’s coming next, discover best practices, and network. This year GEO Jobe is proud to be a Bronze Sponsor of the UC. Here at GEO Jobe, we have put together a list of things to check out while catching some rays in sunny San Diego!

Plenary

The UC Plenary is typically the session that kicks off the Esri User Conference, and this year’s theme is GIS—Creating the World You Want to See. Jack Dangermond will open the plenary by sharing examples of the incredible work from the GIS user community, his vision for the future of GIS, and advancements in ArcGIS technology. This year’s keynote guest speakers are Richard W. Spinrad, Ph.D., Under Secretary of Commerce for Oceans and Atmosphere & NOAA Administrator, and Dr. Steve Boyes, a National Geographic Explorer. They will share their stories about meeting challenges, solving problems, and creating success through their innovative and practical use of GIS.
